2012 Ford F-150 Special Service Vehicle Package Unveiled

Ford unveiled the new 2012 Ford F-150 Special Service Vehicle Package (SSV) for truck targeted at government, municipal as well as commercial fleet buyers across various types of businesses. Sales Manager Tony Gratson said: “We’re confident the current and updated 2013 Ford F-150 equipped with the Special Service Vehicle (SSV) Package will be of particular interest to our government customers with rugged jobs such as law enforcement, firefighting, and national and state park patrols,” .

The Ford F-150 Special Service Vehicle comes with the front seats are upholstered in an easily cleaned cloth while the full-width second-row seats in a more durable vinyl material. The Ford F-150 Special Service Vehicle seating package is 40/20/40, with the center 20 percent discarded completely to increase space for in-cab aftermarket equipment such as law enforcement communications and firearms installations. Ford omits the central console to create more space. Buyers can also specify special components such as heavy-duty tires, 4×4 skid plates and interior convenience content.

The new 2012 Ford F-150 Special Service Vehicle offered on both SuperCab and SuperCrew configurations, two-wheels and four-wheel drive models, and engine specs the Ford F-150 Special Service Vehicle come with a choice of 360hp 5.0-liter V8 or 365hp 3.5-liter EcoBoost engines linked to a six-speed automatic, the option package includes a high-capacity 220-amp alternator and a special service-tailored interior layout.
